Job Description

At Oakley, we are looking for a highly motivated Automation Technician with a passion for technology and engineering. The ideal candidate should have a combination of technical and communication skills, as well as a strong interest in automation and engineering. We are seeking an individual who is willing to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team.The Automation Technician will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as a working knowledge of computer software and hardware.Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Automation, Electronics, or Robotics• At least 5 years of experience working in a similar position• Knowledge of automation principles and electrical/mechanical systems• Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, and/or electrical/mechanical systems• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols and data communication systems• Good problem solving and analytical skills• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamIf you’re looking for an opportunity to use your technical skills and knowledge to make a difference, then join our team at Oakley as an Automation Technician!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain automated systems.
  2. Troubleshoot automated systems.
  3. Apply electrical and mechanical principles to automation systems and robotic systems.
  4. Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
  5. Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  6. Use industrial networking protocols and data communication systems.
  7. Provide excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  9. Manage and organize tasks independently.
  10. Assist in the training of other technicians in automation and electrical/mechanical systems.
