  1. Lead and oversee the Global Program Safety Team responsible for the safety and efficacy of Novartis products worldwide.
  2. Develop and implement global safety strategies and plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  3. Monitor the safety profile of assigned products and identify potential safety issues.
  4. Provide expert guidance and support to cross-functional teams in the evaluation and management of safety signals.
  5. Collaborate with global regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety data.
  6. Conduct risk assessments and contribute to benefit-risk evaluations of products.
  7. Communicate safety concerns and updates to key stakeholders, including senior management.
  8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive safety initiatives.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of safety operations.
  10. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
  11. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations related to pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
  12. Represent the company in external forums and conferences related to drug safety and risk management.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for safety-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  15. Contribute to the development and execution of safety training programs for employees and partners.

  • Extensive Experience In Drug Safety: The Senior Global Program Safety Team Lead Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Drug Safety Regulations And Processes, Including Pharmacovigilance, Risk Management, And Safety Reporting.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Position Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Safety Professionals And Oversee Multiple Safety Programs. Project Management Experience Is Also Essential For Coordinating And Prioritizing Tasks And Resources.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Abilities: The Senior Global Program Safety Team Lead Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including Cross-Functional Teams, Regulatory Agencies, And External Partners. They Must Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Colleagues To Achieve Common Goals.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Leader, The Program Safety Team Lead Must Have The Ability To Think Strategically And Make Critical Decisions That Impact The Safety Of Patients And The Success Of The Company. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Complex Safety Issues And Identify Potential Risks.

  • Knowledge Of Global Regulatory Requirements: This Role Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Global Safety Regulations And Guidelines, Including Ich, Fda, And Ema. The Senior Global Program Safety Team Lead Must Be Able To Stay Up-To-Date On Changes And Ensure Compliance With All Applicable Requirements.
