  1. Lead the development and implementation of process improvement strategies for the small molecules platform, in alignment with the overall business objectives of Novartis.
  2. Utilize your deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to identify areas of improvement and innovation within our small molecules business unit.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, identify process gaps, and develop solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to business process analysis.
  5. Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures, process maps, and other relevant materials.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  7. Oversee the implementation of process improvement initiatives, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes.
  8. Monitor and measure the performance of processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  9. Provide training and guidance to team members on process improvement methodologies and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the small molecules platform.
  10. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the overall goals of Novartis and promote collaboration across departments.
  11. Stay up-to-date on advancements in technology and other tools that can support process improvement efforts within the small molecules platform.
  12. Act as a mentor and coach to junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  13. Report regularly to senior management on the progress of process improvement initiatives and their impact on business performance.
  14. Embody the values and culture of Novartis, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment where employees are motivated to achieve their full potential.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With 5+ Years In A Leadership Role

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Small Molecule Drug Discovery And Development Processes

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Delivering On Complex Projects Within Agreed Timelines And Budgets

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
