- Conduct research and experiments using phage display technology to identify and develop therapeutic antibodies.
- Design and execute experiments to optimize and improve phage display techniques for antibody discovery.
- Analyze and interpret data from experiments to identify potential lead candidates for further development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for antibody discovery and optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in phage display technology and apply them to improve the antibody discovery process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions to ensure the success of phage display experiments.
- Present findings and progress updates to team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the writing and submission of scientific publications and patents.
- Mentor and train junior team members on phage display techniques and antibody discovery.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as academic institutions or contract research organizations, to advance phage display projects.
- Contribute to the overall research strategy and direction of the Antibody Discovery team.
- Maintain a high level of scientific rigor and integrity in all research activities.
- Represent Novartis at scientific conferences and events related to phage display and antibody discovery.
Advanced Degree: A Phage Display Scientist At Novartis Should Have A Phd In Immunology, Biochemistry, Or A Related Field.
Experience With Phage Display Technology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working With Phage Display Technology In A Research Or Industry Setting.
Antibody Discovery Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Antibody Discovery Principles, Including Antibody Engineering, Screening, And Optimization.
Cell Culture And Molecular Biology Skills: The Job Requires Proficiency In Cell Culture Techniques, Including Transfection And Stable Cell Line Generation, As Well As Molecular Biology Techniques Such As Pcr And Cloning.
