- Develop and lead the global oncology strategy for Novartis, in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Oversee the execution of global programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to cross-functional teams, including R&D, commercial, and medical affairs, to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts
- Lead and mentor a team of talented individuals, providing them with support, guidance, and opportunities for growth and development
- Stay informed and up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the field of oncology, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups, and healthcare professionals, to gather insights and drive consensus on strategic initiatives
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and other relevant factors to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of global programs with local needs and regulatory requirements
- Represent Novartis and our oncology programs at external events, conferences, and meetings, and effectively communicate our vision and objectives to a diverse audience
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and promote a culture of ethical and responsible behavior within the team and the organization as a whole.
Advanced Degree In Oncology: The Ideal Candidate For The Global Program Head (Oncology) Role At Novartis Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Oncology, Such As A Phd Or Md. This Will Demonstrate A Deep Understanding Of The Disease And Its Treatment, And The Ability To Lead A Team Of Experts In Developing Innovative Therapies.
Extensive Industry Experience: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10-15 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Oncology. This Should Include Experience In Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, And Commercialization Of Oncology Drugs.
