  1. Lead the Trans Med for Neuroscience team in developing and executing innovative research strategies to advance treatments for neurological disorders.
  2. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture to drive scientific excellence and achieve company goals.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and industry partners, to identify and pursue new opportunities for drug development.
  4. Monitor and analyze industry trends and advancements in the field of neuroscience to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
  5. Provide strategic guidance and direction to the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and priorities.
  6. Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective use of company resources.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and functions within the company to ensure seamless integration and coordination of efforts.
  8. Effectively communicate updates and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  9. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in drug development, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and drive results.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Neuroscience Or Related Field: A Successful Executive Director For The Trans Med For Neuroscience Role At Novartis Would Need To Have A Strong Background In Neuroscience, Including An Advanced Degree Such As A Phd Or Md.

  • Extensive Experience In Drug Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Success In Drug Development, Particularly In The Area Of Neuroscience. This Includes Experience In Leading Clinical Trials, Obtaining Regulatory Approvals, And Launching New Products.

  • Leadership And Team Management Skills: As An Executive Director, This Individual Would Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Scientists And Researchers. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills Are Essential For The Success Of This Role.

  • Business Acumen: The Executive Director Would Also Need To Have A Strong Understanding Of The Business Side Of Drug Development. This Includes Expertise In Budget Management, Strategic Planning, And Market Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: Given The Global Nature Of Novartis, The Executive Director Would Need To Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Teams And Stakeholders Across Different Regions And Functions. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Diverse Audiences.
