  1. Develop and lead the strategic direction for the therapeutic areas within Novartis, in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key therapeutic areas and opportunities for growth.
  3. Conduct market analysis and stay up-to-date on industry trends to inform strategic decision making.
  4. Oversee the development and implementation of therapeutic area plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Provide guidance and direction to the therapeutic area teams to drive performance and achieve goals.
  6. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the therapeutic area teams.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and industry experts.
  8. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic area strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Stay informed on competitor activities and market dynamics to inform strategic planning and decision making.
  10. Serve as a spokesperson for the company's therapeutic areas, representing Novartis at industry events and conferences.
  11. Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and development.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  13. Collaborate with other executive leaders to align therapeutic area strategies with overall company goals and objectives.
  14. Monitor and manage the therapeutic area budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  15. Continuously assess and improve therapeutic area strategies to stay ahead of industry trends and drive business growth.
