  1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for patient advocacy in the US, aligned with the overall company goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate patient perspectives and insights into product development, commercialization, and access strategies.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key patient advocacy organizations, ensuring strong partnerships and effective communication.
  4. Identify and engage with relevant patient advocates and influencers, including patients, caregivers, and thought leaders, to amplify patient voices and advocate for their needs.
  5. Stay informed of healthcare policy and regulatory developments that may impact patient access to treatments and therapies, and proactively address potential challenges.
  6. Lead the planning and execution of patient advocacy events, such as patient summits and advisory boards, to gather insights and foster collaboration.
  7. Develop and manage the patient advocacy budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support advocacy efforts.
  8. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on patient-centric initiatives and projects.
  9. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to patient advocacy, and adjust strategies as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in patient advocacy, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance Novartis' patient-centric approach.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of The Us Healthcare Landscape: The Director Of Us Patient Advocacy Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Us Healthcare System, Including Key Stakeholders, Policies, And Laws That Impact Patient Access To Healthcare.

  • Previous Experience In Patient Advocacy: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Working In Patient Advocacy, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry. This Experience Should Include Developing And Executing Patient Advocacy Strategies And Building Relationships With Patient Advocacy Organizations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Leader In Patient Advocacy, The Director Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Engage With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Patients, Advocacy Groups, And Senior Leadership.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Director Should Be Able To Think Strategically And Identify Opportunities To Advance Patient Access And Support Initiatives. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Navigate And Address Challenges And Obstacles In The Patient Advocacy Landscape.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: The Director Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Patient Advocacy Professionals, So Previous Experience In Leadership And Team Management Is Essential. This Includes The Ability To Motivate And Develop Team Members, As Well As Manage Budgets And Resources Effectively.
