  1. Utilize computational chemistry tools and techniques to conduct virtual screening, molecular modeling, and structure-based drug design.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute computational experiments to support drug discovery projects.
  3. Analyze and interpret data from computational experiments, and provide insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
  4. Develop and implement computational methods and workflows to streamline drug design processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date with advancements in computational chemistry and drug design, and integrate new tools and techniques into workflows as appropriate.
  6. Work closely with medicinal chemists to design and optimize drug candidates using a combination of computational and experimental approaches.
  7. Maintain accurate and organized records of all computational experiments and results.
  8. Communicate results and progress to project teams and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  9. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall strategy and direction of drug discovery projects.
  10. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines related to drug discovery and computational chemistry.
  11. Mentor and train junior team members in computational chemistry techniques and best practices.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to access specialized software or expertise.
  13. Contribute to the writing and review of scientific publications and patents.
  14. Represent Novartis at scientific conferences and events, presenting research findings and networking with other industry professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Or Related Field With A Focus On Computational Methods.

  • Extensive Experience With Computational Modeling And Simulation Techniques, Such As Molecular Dynamics And Quantum Mechanics.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Commonly Used In Computational Chemistry, Such As Python, C++, Or R.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Drug Discovery And Development Processes, Including Medicinal Chemistry Principles.

  • Experience With Data Analysis And Machine Learning Techniques For Drug Design And Optimization.
