  1. Lead the clinical development strategy for the rheumatology division, including designing and executing clinical trials to support the development of new therapies.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of clinical development plans.
  3. Serve as the primary medical representative for the rheumatology division, providing expert medical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Conduct thorough, evidence-based analysis and interpretation of clinical data to inform decision-making.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in the design and execution of clinical trials.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external experts in the field of rheumatology.
  7. Provide clinical input for the development of regulatory submissions and participate in interactions with regulatory authorities.
  8. Support the dissemination of clinical trial results through presentations and publications.
  9. Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  10. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in rheumatology to contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of clinical development processes at Novartis.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree With Specialization In Rheumatology: The Medical Director Must Possess A Medical Degree (Md Or Equivalent) With A Specialization In Rheumatology. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Deep Understanding Of The Disease And Its Treatment, And Can Effectively Lead Clinical Development Programs In This Therapeutic Area.

  • Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Research: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Research, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Company. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Design And Execute Clinical Trials, Interpret Data, And Contribute To Regulatory Submissions.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Drug Development Process: A Clinical Development Medical Director Must Have A Strong Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Including Clinical Trial Design, Data Analysis, And Regulatory Requirements. This Knowledge Is Essential To Successfully Lead And Manage Clinical Development Programs.

  • Demonstrated Leadership And Project Management Skills: The Medical Director Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Cross-Functional Teams In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment. This Includes Strong Project Management Skills, Effective Communication, And The Ability To Collaborate With Stakeholders At All Levels.

  • Proven Expertise In Rheumatology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Scientific And Clinical Aspects Of Rheumatology, Including Disease Pathophysiology, Current Treatment Landscape, And Emerging Trends. This Expertise Will Enable Them To Contribute To The Development Of Innovative And Effective Treatments In This Therapeutic Area.
