  1. Provide exceptional urological care to patients of Novant Health.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Utilize the latest technology and techniques in urology to provide the best possible care.
  4. Conduct thorough evaluations and examinations of patients to diagnose and treat urological conditions.
  5. Perform surgical procedures as needed, including but not limited to prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and cystectomy.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative care.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Stay informed about current advancements and research in the field of urology to continuously improve practice.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.
  11. Act as a mentor and resource for other medical staff and students.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  13. Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and educational sessions.
  14. Comply with all safety and infection control protocols.
  15. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and overall patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Urologist Must Have Completed Medical School And Obtained A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Residency Training: In Addition To Medical School, A Urologist Must Have Completed A 5-Year Urology Residency Program At An Accredited Hospital Or Medical Center.

  • Board Certification: To Practice As A Urologist, One Must Be Board Certified By The American Board Of Urology. This Requires Passing A Rigorous Exam And Meeting Ongoing Education And Training Requirements.

  • State Licensure: Urologists Must Be Licensed To Practice Medicine In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Requires Passing The United States Medical Licensing Examination (Usmle) Or The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (Comlex).

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Urologists Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Have Empathy And The Ability To Explain Complex Medical Information In An Understandable Manner To Patients.
