- Provide expert medical guidance and advice to healthcare teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and experience to review patient cases and make recommendations for improved outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between physicians and hospital administration to facilitate communication and promote a positive working relationship.
- Act as a resource for healthcare teams on complex medical cases, providing education and support as needed.
- Stay updated on current medical research and advancements to provide evidence-based recommendations and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and protocols related to patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and committees to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other System Physician Advisors to share best practices and ensure consistency across the organization.
- Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Medical Degree: A System Physician Advisor At Novant Health Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Their Respective Medical Specialty, Demonstrating A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In Their Field.
Active Medical License: A Current, Unrestricted Medical License In The State In Which They Will Be Practicing Is Required For This Role.
Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of Best Practices And Evidence-Based Medicine.
Communication And Leadership Skills: The Role Of A System Physician Advisor Requires Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Healthcare Professionals And Departments. Candidates Should Have Experience In Leading And Implementing Change Initiatives.
