1. Develop and implement the overall health informatics strategy for Novant Health, in line with the organization's mission and goals.
2. Utilize extensive medical background and technical expertise to drive innovation in health informatics, in order to improve patient outcomes.
3. Lead and manage a team of health informatics professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful execution of the strategy.
4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders within the organization to identify opportunities for utilizing technology to improve healthcare delivery.
5. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in health informatics, and make recommendations for adoption and implementation within the organization.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources in achieving the organization's health informatics goals.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to health informatics, such as HIPAA and HITECH.
8. Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and measure the success of the organization's health informatics initiatives.
9. Act as a spokesperson for Novant Health in the field of health informatics, participating in conferences and events to share knowledge and expertise.
10. Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's health informatics processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
