1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
2. Anticipate and assist surgeons in the sterile field during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
3. Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control protocols and proper handling of equipment and supplies.
4. Ensure patient safety by verifying patient identity, surgical site, and procedure with surgeon and nursing staff.
5. Communicate effectively with surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses.
