Surgical Registered Nurse

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exemplary care and support to surgical patients and their families according to Novant Health protocols and standards.
2. Monitor and assess patient condition and provide appropriate interventions.
3. Assist surgical team with pre- and post-operative care.
4. Support physicians and other healthcare providers in the delivery of care.
5. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
6. Document patient care according to established guidelines.
7. Participate in continuing education and other learning activities to stay abreast of best practices and evidence-based approaches.
8. Maintain a safe and clean environment and promote a positive atmosphere.
9. Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
10. Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, families, healthcare team, and other stakeholders.
