- Responsible for maintaining and operating all reprocessing equipment to ensure proper sterilization and functionality.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Inspect, assemble, and package all medical equipment and instruments for sterilization.
- Monitor and record sterilization processes, including the use of chemical and biological indicators.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all sterilization activities.

Certification: A Sterile Reprocessing Technologist Must Hold A Current Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd) Or The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm).
Education: Applicants Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of A Sterile Processing Or Central Service Technology Program From An Accredited Institution.
Experience: Novant Health Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Sterile Processing Or Central Service, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Sterile Processing Best Practices, As Well As Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Standards, Such As Those Set By The Association For The Advancement Of Medical Instrumentation (Aami) And The Occupational Safety And Health Administration (Osha).
