- Conduct accurate and timely ultrasound scans of vascular structures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound technology and techniques to obtain high-quality images.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all ultrasound procedures performed.
- Educate patients about the ultrasound procedure and answer any questions or concerns.
- Monitor patient's condition and report any changes to the physician.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with equipment.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Act as a mentor and resource to other sonographers and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and other relevant governing bodies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for the ultrasound department.
- Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve and maintain departmental processes and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental and organizational meetings.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and demeanor at all times.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field, And Active Certification As A Registered Vascular Technologist (Rvt) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Sonographer Vascular, With A Strong Background In Performing Vascular Ultrasound Procedures Such As Carotid, Venous, And Arterial Exams.
Technical Skills: Proficiency In Using Ultrasound Equipment And Other Related Technology, As Well As Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy And Physiology Related To Vascular Systems.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Medical Staff, And Other Team Members. Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Attention To Detail: Must Possess Excellent Attention To Detail To Accurately Perform And Interpret Ultrasound Exams, And To Maintain Accurate Records And Documentation. Must Also Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Technical Issues With Equipment.
