1. Conduct accurate and timely ultrasound scans of vascular structures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
2. Utilize advanced ultrasound technology and techniques to obtain high-quality images.
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
4. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
5. Document and maintain accurate records of all ultrasound procedures performed.
6. Educate patients about the ultrasound procedure and answer any questions or concerns.
7. Monitor patient's condition and report any changes to the physician.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with equipment.
9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
10. Act as a mentor and resource to other sonographers and healthcare team members.
11. Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and other relevant governing bodies.
12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
13. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for the ultrasound department.
14. Adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
15. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
16. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve and maintain departmental processes and procedures.
17. Attend and actively participate in departmental and organizational meetings.
18. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and demeanor at all times.
19. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
20. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
