- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret images and provide accurate and timely results.
- Routinely check and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks to patients and staff.
- Provide guidance and training to junior sonographers and students to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of imaging services provided and suggest improvements to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Current Certification By The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Sonographer At A Healthcare Facility.
Knowledge And Expertise In A Wide Range Of Ultrasound Procedures, Including Abdominal, Obstetrical, Gynecological, And Vascular Imaging.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field, Or Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience.
