  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Accurately interpret and analyze sonographic images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of results.
  5. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
  7. Keep accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
  8. Continuously stay updated on advances in ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best possible care to patients.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA regulations.
  11. Provide assistance and guidance to other team members, including training and mentoring new sonographers.

Job Qualifications
  • Appropriate Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography, As Well As Current Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Knowledge Of Sonography Principles And Equipment: Strong Understanding Of Ultrasound Technology And Its Applications, As Well As Proficient Operation Of Ultrasound Equipment.

  • Clinical Experience: Prior Experience Working As A Sonographer In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center.

  • Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Patients.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: A Keen Eye For Detail And Ability To Accurately Interpret And Document Ultrasound Images, As Well As Adhere To Strict Safety Protocols And Maintain Patient Confidentiality.
