  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately capture images and identify abnormalities.
  3. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
  4. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report any malfunctions for timely repair.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, providing accurate and timely reports for patient care.
  6. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  7. Keep accurate records of procedures, patient information, and quality assurance data in accordance with department policies.
  8. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current with advancements in technology and techniques.
  9. Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment needed for ultrasound procedures.
  10. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Qualified Sonographer At Harbor Pointe Obgyn Should Hold A Current Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting Is Preferred, With A Focus On Obstetrics And Gynecology Ultrasound.

  • Knowledge Of Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge And Proficiency In Operating Diagnostic Medical Equipment, Including Ultrasound Machines And Related Software.

  • Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As Sonographers At Harbor Pointe Obgyn Will Be Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis.

  • Attention To Detail: Attention To Detail Is Essential For Accurate And Thorough Ultrasound Imaging, As Well As For Maintaining Accurate Patient Records And Reports. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Work With Precision.
