Welcome to Novant Health's RN New Grad Residency Program for the Spring 2026 Cohort! We are excited to welcome a new group of passionate and dedicated individuals to our team. This program is designed to provide new nurses with the necessary skills and experience to become successful and confident RNs. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses, receive expert training, and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. We are looking for motivated individuals who possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow. 1. Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all new nurses joining the RN New Grad Residency Program.
2. Facilitate the orientation and onboarding process for incoming nurses.
3. Design and implement a comprehensive training program for new nurses to develop their skills and knowledge.
4. Collaborate with experienced nurses to provide mentorship and guidance to new nurses.
5. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for new nurses to build confidence and competence in their nursing practice.
6. Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure smooth integration of new nurses into the unit.
7. Monitor and evaluate the progress of new nurses through regular check-ins and assessments.
8. Identify and address any challenges or concerns that may arise during the residency program.
9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth among new nurses.
10. Promote patient-centered care and encourage new nurses to make a positive impact on the lives of patients.
11. Encourage teamwork and collaboration among new nurses and their colleagues.
12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of the residency program.
13. Adhere to all Novant Health policies and procedures.
14. Continuously evaluate and improve the RN New Grad Residency Program to ensure its effectiveness in preparing new nurses for their careers.
15. Encourage and support new nurses in pursuing further education and professional development opportunities.
