  1. Manage daily operations of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in accordance with Novant Health standards and protocols.
  2. Oversee and supervise nursing staff in the PACU, providing guidance and support as needed.
  3. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and coordinate staff schedules to meet patient needs.
  4. Monitor and assess patient care, making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and safety.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including documentation of assessments, treatments, and medications.
  7. Facilitate effective communication and teamwork among PACU staff and other departments within the hospital.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to PACU operations.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
  10. Provide education and training to nursing staff on PACU policies, procedures, and best practices.
  11. Stay current on advancements and changes in PACU nursing and implement best practices into daily operations.
  12. Serve as a resource for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License In The State Of Employment: This Is A Requirement For All Rn Positions At Novant Health, Ensuring That The Candidate Has Met All Necessary Education And Training Requirements To Practice As A Registered Nurse.

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher: A Bsn Or Higher Degree Is Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Expertise In The Field Of Nursing.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Pacu Setting: The Clinical Coordinator Role Requires A Strong Background In Pacu Nursing, With A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In This Specialized Area Of Healthcare.

  • Leadership And Management Experience: As A Clinical Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Daily Operations Of The Pacu Unit And Leading A Team Of Nurses. Therefore, Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role Is Highly Desired.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: Effective Communication And Organizational Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Clinical Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Coordinating Patient Care, Interacting With Other Healthcare Professionals, And Managing Administrative Tasks.
