  1. Review and analyze patient medical records and billing documentation to identify coding and billing errors.
  2. Conduct thorough audits and investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and coding staff to resolve coding and billing discrepancies.
  4. Utilize knowledge of revenue cycle operations to maximize reimbursement for services provided.
  5. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve revenue integrity and accuracy.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert on coding and billing guidelines and regulations.
  7. Educate and train staff on proper coding and billing practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  8. Identify trends and patterns in coding and billing errors and provide recommendations for improvement.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing and coding issues.
  10. Track and report on revenue integrity metrics to monitor and improve performance.
  11. Stay current on changes in coding and billing regulations and guidelines.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve revenue cycle efficiency.
  13. Participate in revenue cycle improvement initiatives and projects.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
  15. Uphold Novant Health's mission and values in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Finance, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Revenue Cycle Management, Billing/Coding, Or Healthcare Finance

  • Knowledge Of Billing Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Cms Guidelines And Hipaa

  • Experience With Electronic Medical Record Systems And Revenue Cycle Software

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Ability To Identify And Resolve Billing Errors Or Discrepancies
