  1. Manage and treat patients with respiratory illnesses, including administering respiratory therapy treatments, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  2. Lead a team of respiratory therapists, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality patient care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and techniques in respiratory therapy, and implement new practices as appropriate.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families, providing compassionate care and addressing any concerns or questions.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to patient care.
  7. Monitor equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained and stocked.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  11. Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
  12. Serve as a role model for respiratory therapists, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  13. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field

  • Current And Active Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Team Of Respiratory Therapists And Other Healthcare Professionals

  • Knowledge Of Current Respiratory Therapy Practices And Procedures, Including Experience With Advanced Respiratory Care Such As Mechanical Ventilation And Airway Management.
