- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients according to established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, vital signs, and response to treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management, including proper use of medications and equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
- Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment and devices to ensure safe and effective use
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during respiratory distress or critical situations
- Stay current on advancements and changes in respiratory therapy through continued education and training
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Valid Rrt Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Respiratory Therapist In The State Where The Job Is Located.
Minimum Education Requirement: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Respiratory Therapy From An Accredited Educational Institution.
Previous Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Strong Clinical Skills: The Candidate Must Have Strong Clinical Skills And Be Able To Perform A Wide Range Of Respiratory Therapy Procedures, Including But Not Limited To Mechanical Ventilation, Arterial Blood Gas Analysis, And Airway Management.
