  1. Provide exceptional care to women and children in various settings, including the labor and delivery unit, postpartum unit, and pediatric unit.
  2. Utilize specialized skills and knowledge to provide high-quality and evidence-based care to patients.
  3. Maintain a flexible schedule and work in a variety of settings to meet the changing needs of the Women and Children's Resource/Float Pool team.
  4. Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills to assess and prioritize patient needs, develop care plans, and make clinical decisions.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure the delivery of coordinated and comprehensive care.
  6. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to women's and children's healthcare.
  9. Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings, sharing knowledge and expertise, and promoting a positive work culture.
  10. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory standards to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care to patients.
  11. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with patients and their families, recognizing their unique needs and promoting a positive patient experience.
  12. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected.
  13. Maintain professionalism and ethical standards at all times, promoting the mission and values of Novant Health.
  14. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction by actively seeking feedback and implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Associate's Degree In Nursing (Adn) From An Accredited Program.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Rn In Women And Children's Healthcare.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification And Any Additional Specialty Certifications (E.g. Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Adapt To Changing Situations And Work Well In A Team Environment.
