Registered Nurse, RN- PACU

1. Provide exceptional patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) by assessing, monitoring, and managing the post-operative recovery of patients.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
3. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU and provide comprehensive post-operative instructions to patients and their families.
4. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address any potential complications or changes in a patient's condition, and promptly notify the appropriate healthcare professionals.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, symptoms, and treatments provided, in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
6. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members, providing education and emotional support as needed.
8. Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of quality patient care.
9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices and advancements in nursing care.
