  1. Provide compassionate and skilled patient care in the operating room setting.
  2. Utilize expertise and knowledge of surgical procedures to ensure safe and efficient delivery of surgical services.
  3. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to create a positive and efficient surgical experience for patients.
  4. Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, and respond quickly and effectively to any changes in their condition.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including surgical procedures and post-operative care.
  7. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, including pre-operative and post-operative care instructions.
  8. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe operating room environment.
  9. Handle equipment and instruments safely and accurately during surgical procedures.
  10. Demonstrate strong communication and critical thinking skills to effectively advocate for patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  11. Continuously update knowledge of current surgical techniques and technologies to provide the best possible care for patients.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and actively contribute to the development of best practices for surgical care.
  14. Serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced nurses in the operating room.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Where The Job Is Located.

  • Operating Room Experience: The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working In An Operating Room Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Surgical Center.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Must Be Certified In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) By The American Heart Association.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Think Critically In High-Pressure Situations.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours: The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Varying Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, As The Operating Room Requires 24/7 Coverage.
