Job Description

  1. Provide compassionate and skilled care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise to assess patients, monitor vital signs, and administer medications as needed.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and individualized care.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans based on evidence-based practices.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation of patient progress and any interventions or changes in condition.
  6. Educate patients and their families on postpartum care, including breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and warning signs of complications.
  7. Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby during and after delivery.
  8. Remain up-to-date on current trends and practices in labor and delivery care, and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
  9. Adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and infection control.
  10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with colleagues and promoting teamwork.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to our organization's mission and values, and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
  12. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or needs that may arise.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with patients and their families.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  15. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards in the delivery of care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution

  • Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Labor & Delivery Nursing

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certifications

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
