1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to mothers and newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit.
2. Monitor and assess the health status of patients, including vital signs, lab results, and fetal heart rate.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
4. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for each patient.
5. Educate and support patients and their families during the labor and delivery process.
6. Monitor and assist with the progress of labor, including fetal monitoring, pain management, and delivery.
7. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and provide effective and timely interventions.
8. Document all patient care and maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
10. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
11. Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and professional development opportunities.
12. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and wishes are heard and respected.
