Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit (ICCU). As an ICCU RN, you will play a crucial role in the care of patients who require intermediate level medical attention.   1. Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of an ICCU RN is to provide high-quality care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and providing treatments as needed.
  2. Monitor and evaluate patient progress: The RN will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress of patients in the ICCU. This includes regularly assessing vital signs, observing for any changes in condition, and communicating updates to the healthcare team.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team: The ICCU RN will work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate and provide comprehensive care for patients. This includes participating in rounds, providing input on care plans, and collaborating on patient treatment.
  4. Utilize critical thinking skills: The ICCU RN must possess strong critical thinking skills to quickly and effectively assess and respond to changes in patient condition. This may involve making quick decisions and adapting to unexpected situations.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation: Accurate and thorough documentation is essential in the healthcare field. The ICCU RN will be responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
  6. Ensure safety and infection control: Patient safety is a top priority in the ICCU. The RN will be responsible for implementing and following infection control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a safe environment for patients.
  7. Provide education and support: As a healthcare professional, the ICCU RN will also play a role in educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. This may include providing emotional support and answering any questions or concerns.
  8. Stay current on medical advancements: The ICCU RN should stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices to provide the highest level of care to patients. This may involve attending trainings, conferences, and staying informed through research and professional resources.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certification.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited University.

  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Intermediate Care Unit (Icu) Or Related Setting.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge Of Critical Care Procedures And Protocols.
