- Provide exceptional patient-centered care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
- Administer and monitor infusion therapy according to established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on their treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Assess patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on current oncology treatments, research, and advancements in the field.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity towards patients and their families during a difficult time.
- Act as an advocate for patients and ensure their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills related to oncology care.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent From An Accredited Nursing Program.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Oncology Infusion Or Related Field.
Certification In Oncology Nursing (Ocn) Or Related Specialty (I.e. Chemotherapy And Biotherapy).
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Multidisciplinary Team.
