
Registered Nurse - NICU

- Provide compassionate and dedicated care to our tiniest and most vulnerable patients in the NICU.
- Utilize your skills and experience as a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care techniques and provide emotional support during difficult times.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and professional work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on current nursing practices and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Higher: Novant Health Requires All Registered Nurses In The Nicu Position To Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Active Rn License In The State Of Employment: Candidates Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working As A Nicu Nurse At Novant Health.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nicu Experience: Novant Health Prefers Candidates With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This Experience Can Come From Previous Employment Or Clinical Rotations During Nursing School.
Cpr And Nrp Certifications: All Nicu Nurses At Novant Health Must Have Current Certifications In Both Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Cpr) And Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp).
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Nicu Nurse At Novant Health, Clear And Effective Communication With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Candidates Must Also Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills To Make Quick And Accurate Decisions In Emergency Situations.
