- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to women during all stages of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Utilize your expertise and knowledge of women's health to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Monitor and assess the health of mothers and newborns, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient assessments, treatments, and medications.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of advancements in women's health and childbirth practices.
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote a team-based approach to patient care.
- Attend and actively participate in unit meetings and trainings to stay informed about changes in policies and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): A Bsn Degree Is Often Required For Registered Nurse Positions At Novant Health, As It Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice.
Current Rn License In The State Of Employment: All Registered Nurses At Novant Health Must Hold A Valid And Current Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Labor And Delivery, Postpartum, And Newborn Care: To Be Considered For An Ldrp Unit Position, Applicants Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In All Aspects Of Labor And Delivery, Postpartum, And Newborn Care.
Bls And Acls Certifications: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For Registered Nurses Working In The Ldrp Unit To Ensure They Are Prepared To Handle Emergency Situations.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: Working In The Ldrp Unit Requires Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Medical Staff. Critical Thinking Skills Are Also Essential To Assess And Prioritize Patient Needs In A Fast-Paced Environment.
