1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
3. Assess and monitor patients' health status and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
5. Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
7. Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
8. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are considered in their care.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in infusion therapy.
10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during their treatment.
11. Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment for infusion therapy.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to patient care and safety.
13. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, their families, and colleagues.
14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Infusion Services Clinic.
15. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives.
