- Provide safe and efficient transportation for critically ill patients to Novant Health facilities.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess and care for patients during transport.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care and patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning and availability for transport.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during transport, including infection control measures.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Continuously assess and reassess patient condition during transport and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and family members on post-transport care and follow-up instructions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge.
- Represent Novant Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Is Required For A Registered Nurse - Critical Care Transport Position At Novant Health. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Practice, Which Is Essential For Providing High-Quality Care In A Critical Care Transport Setting.
Active Rn Licensure: Candidates Must Have An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Training And Is Competent To Provide Care In A Critical Care Transport Environment.
Critical Care Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Or Emergency Department (Ed).
