1. Develop and implement therapeutic recreational programs for patients to improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
2. Create individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.
3. Utilize a variety of recreation and leisure activities to engage and motivate patients.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
5. Educate patients and their families on the benefits of recreational therapy and how it can improve their overall health.
6. Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans to meet the changing needs of patients.
7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in regards to patient care and confidentiality.
9. Stay informed of current research and developments in the field of recreational therapy.
10. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
11. Provide support and encouragement to patients as they work towards their goals.
12. Advocate for the importance and integration of recreational therapy in healthcare settings.
13. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients to participate in recreational activities.
14. Collaborate with community organizations to provide additional resources and opportunities for patients.
15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the quality of recreational therapy services at Novant Health.
