  1. Administer Radiation Therapy Treatments: The primary responsibility of the Radiation Therapist is to administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the oncology team.
  2. Educate and Communicate with Patients: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for educating patients about their treatment plan, potential side effects, and proper care during and after treatment. They must also effectively communicate with patients to address any questions or concerns they may have.
  3. Ensure Safety and Quality Control: It is the responsibility of the Radiation Therapist to follow strict safety protocols and adhere to quality control standards to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during radiation therapy treatments.
  4. Collaborate with Oncology Team: As a member of the healthcare team, the Radiation Therapist will collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  5. Document and Maintain Patient Records: Accurate and detailed documentation of patient treatments and progress is a crucial responsibility of the Radiation Therapist. They must also maintain patient records and update them as needed.
  6. Operate and Maintain Equipment: The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition for safe and effective use.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiation Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiation Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Radiation Therapist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Radiation Therapy Techniques, Equipment, And Safety Protocols.
