Job Description

Novant Health is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Radiation Therapist to provide compassionate patient care in our state-of-the-art radiation oncology department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and caring team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and a passion for working in the radiation therapy field.The successful candidate will possess an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, a current Radiation Therapist License in North Carolina, and have at least one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist. They must also have an understanding of radiation safety principles and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Radiation Therapist will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and quality patient care in the radiation oncology department.
  2. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.
  3. Administer radiation treatments to patients according to prescribed doses and safety protocols.
  4. Monitor and track patient outcomes and document treatment results.
  5. Educate and counsel patients about their radiation treatments and expected outcomes.
  6. Comply with radiation safety regulations and guidelines.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  8. Participate in research and development projects related to radiation therapy.
  9. Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
