  1. Perform EKG testing accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Prepare and position patients for EKG procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  3. Operate and maintain EKG equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  4. Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
  5. Maintain patient records and documentation in an organized and timely manner.
  6. Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and quality care to patients.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  9. Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and procedures.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in EKG technology, and professional development opportunities.
  11. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  12. Contribute to the overall success of the healthcare team by actively participating in meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Ekg Technician Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Ekg Technology, Which Includes Coursework In Electrocardiography, Anatomy And Physiology, Medical Terminology, And Patient Care.

  • Certification As A Certified Ekg Technician (Cet) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat): Depending On The State And Facility, Candidates May Be Required To Hold A Certification From The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or Other Recognized Certifying Body.

  • Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Environment, Preferably In A Cardiac Care Unit Or Similar Setting.

  • Familiarity With Muse Ekg System: Candidates Should Have Experience Working With The Muse Ekg System, Including Knowledge Of How To Perform Ekgs, Troubleshoot Technical Issues, And Transfer Data To Electronic Medical Records.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Pt Ekg Technicians/Muse Associates Are Responsible For Interacting With Patients, Nurses, And Physicians, And Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Others.
