  1. Conduct and interpret overnight polysomnograms and diagnostic sleep studies according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Perform patient assessments and document relevant information, including medical history, medications, and symptoms.
  3. Administer and monitor various sleep-related tests, such as multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders.
  5. Educate patients about sleep hygiene, proper use of equipment, and other aspects of their treatment plan.
  6. Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and make necessary adjustments during sleep studies.
  7. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the sleep study process.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sleep studies and related procedures.
  9. Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in sleep medicine to continuously improve patient care.
  10. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
  12. Provide support and guidance to other members of the sleep medicine team.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  15. Attend meetings, training sessions, and conferences to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Polysomnography: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Certification In Polysomnography From A Recognized Institution.

  • Experience In Sleep Lab Operations: Applicants Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Operating And Maintaining A Sleep Lab, Including Knowledge Of Proper Sleep Study Setup, Data Collection, And Analysis.

  • Familiarity With Sleep Disorders: A Strong Understanding Of Various Sleep Disorders, Their Symptoms, And Treatment Options Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Also Be Able To Interpret Sleep Study Results Accurately.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Polysomnograph Technologist Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Interact With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Requires Meticulous Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Data Collection And Analysis. Candidates Should Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Technical Issues During A Sleep Study And Document Them Appropriately.
