Phlebotomy Technician

As an integral member of our laboratory staff, you will play a key role in providing quality patient care and delivering exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for healthcare and a commitment to providing excellent service.To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or GED, a current, valid phlebotomy certification, and experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, you must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in computer systems are also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Draw and collect blood specimens from patients as requested by physicians according to established guidelines.
2. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of collected specimens, including labeling and documentation.
3. Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
4. Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
5. Prepare samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
6. Assist with phlebotomy training and educational activities.
7. Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
8. Manage and track patient information and data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
9. Maintain and update phlebotomy certifications and other necessary credentials.
10. Provide superior customer service to all patients.
