
Phlebotomy Technician
At Novant Health, we are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. As an integral member of our laboratory staff, you will play a key role in providing quality patient care and delivering exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for healthcare and a commitment to providing excellent service.To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or GED, a current, valid phlebotomy certification, and experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, you must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in computer systems are also required.
Responsibilities:
- Draw and collect blood specimens from patients as requested by physicians according to established guidelines.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of collected specimens, including labeling and documentation.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Prepare samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Assist with phlebotomy training and educational activities.
- Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage and track patient information and data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain and update phlebotomy certifications and other necessary credentials.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Phlebotomy Technician Certification
At Least One Year Of Experience In A Laboratory Setting
