- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages with a high level of accuracy, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure proper identification of patients and labeling of specimens to maintain accuracy and integrity of samples.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technology to collect, process, and transport blood and other specimens.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper management of biohazard materials.
- Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and healthcare providers regarding collection procedures and any concerns or issues.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and notify appropriate personnel when reordering is necessary.
- Follow all quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with industry standards and advancements in phlebotomy.
- Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor and addressing any patient concerns or needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare System.
Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program And Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As Ascp Or Nha.
Proficiency In Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Other Blood Collection Techniques.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Laboratory Testing Procedures, And Safety Protocols Related To Phlebotomy.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Laboratory Staff In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
