- Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense medications to patients.
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards in medication preparation and dispensing.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain inventory levels and order necessary medications and supplies.
- Use computer systems to enter and retrieve information regarding patient medications.
- Assist in pharmacy staff training and education.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Follow all state and federal regulations and laws related to pharmacy operations.
- Keep accurate records of medication dispensing and patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy manager or supervisor.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and provide the best possible patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Attend training and continuing education opportunities to maintain knowledge of current pharmacy practices.
- Uphold Novant Health's mission, vision, and values in all interactions and duties.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
Certification As A Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy Setting.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices, As Well As Proficiency In Pharmacy Software And Technology.
