  1. Perform echocardiograms on pediatric patients using specialized equipment and techniques.
  2. Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.
  3. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in pediatric echocardiography to identify and assess cardiac abnormalities in children.
  4. Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures and patient information.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure understanding of procedures and results.
  6. Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures and take appropriate actions if necessary.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in echocardiography technology and techniques.
  8. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and infection control protocols.
  10. Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff members in echocardiography techniques and procedures.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
  12. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and patience when working with pediatric patients and their families.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  14. Attend training and educational opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  15. Represent Novant Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field.

  • Certification By The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Pediatric Echocardiography.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Echocardiography.

  • Knowledge Of Pediatric Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
