  1. Provide specialized care to children with neurological conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  2. Utilize expertise in neurology to assess and manage complex neurological conditions in pediatric patients.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for pediatric neurology patients.
  4. Conduct thorough and accurate neurological examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and provide appropriate treatment recommendations.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements and best practices in pediatric neurology.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout their treatment journey.
  7. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  9. Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards in providing care to pediatric patients.
  10. Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for pediatric patients with neurological conditions.
  12. Support Novant Health's mission to improve the health of our communities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
  13. Maintain licensure and certification requirements, as well as continuing education credits, to stay current in the field of pediatric neurology.
  14. Serve as a role model and mentor to other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students.
  15. Participate in and contribute to research and clinical trials related to pediatric neurology.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Pediatric Neurology: Candidates For This Position Should Hold A Valid Board Certification In Pediatric Neurology From A Recognized Medical Board, Such As The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology.

  • Extensive Experience In Pediatric Neurology: Novant Health Is Seeking Candidates With A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Pediatric Neurological Conditions. This Should Include Experience In A Wide Range Of Conditions, Including Epilepsy, Developmental Delays, And Cerebral Palsy.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pediatric Neurologist, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families Is Crucial. Candidates Should Demonstrate Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
