Job Description

Novant Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Pediatric Echocardiographer to join our dynamic cardiac imaging team. The successful candidate will display a professional and positive attitude, strong technical skills, and exceptional patient care. In this role, you will use echocardiography to assess the structure and function of the heart, and provide accurate diagnoses to help our pediatric patients.To be successful in this position, you must have an Associate’s degree in Ultrasound Technology or equivalent, a minimum of two years of pediatric echocardiography experience, and be credentialed in echocardiography from an appropriate certifying agency such as ARDMS or CCI. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform echocardiography exams on pediatric patients to assess heart structure and function.
  2. Provide accurate diagnoses to cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with patients, physicians, and nurses.
  4. Maintain credentialing with an appropriate certifying agency such as ARDMS or CCI.
  5. Follow established protocols and guidelines for echocardiography procedures.
  6. Ensure patient safety during exams and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  7. Keep abreast of new developments in echocardiography technology and techniques.
  8. Actively participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  9. Assist with training and education of other healthcare professionals.
  10. Respond to all patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
