  1. Provide specialized pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  3. Monitor medication therapy and provide appropriate interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
  4. Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
  5. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  6. Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members on medication therapy, potential side effects, and proper administration techniques.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate medication-related issues to the healthcare team.
  8. Stay current on new developments in pediatric pharmacy and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices within the organization.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications.
  10. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and patient-centered care within the pharmacy department and throughout the organization.
  11. Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
  12. Serve as a resource for pediatric drug information and provide guidance on drug dosing, interactions, and adverse effects.
  13. Assist with formulary management and medication utilization review to promote cost-effective and high-quality care for pediatric patients.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold the organization's mission and values.
  15. Attend and actively participate in departmental and organizational meetings and trainings.
  16. Continuously evaluate and improve upon pharmacy processes and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  17. Serve as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and addressed promptly.
  18. Maintain current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to pediatric pharmacy practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy

  • Current And Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Practice

  • Residency Or 2+ Years Of Experience In Pediatric Pharmacy Practice

  • Board Certification In Pediatric Pharmacotherapy (Bcpps) Or Willingness To Obtain Within 2 Years Of Hire

  • Strong Understanding Of Pediatric Drug Therapy, Dosage Calculations, And Medication Safety Practices
