  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Act as the main point of contact for patients, answering any questions and addressing any concerns they may have.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.
  5. Monitor patient wait times and address any delays or issues in a timely manner.
  6. Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain pre-authorizations.
  7. Handle patient billing and payments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized reception area for a positive patient experience.
  9. Keep up-to-date with changes in healthcare policies and procedures.
  10. Provide excellent customer service, going above and beyond to meet the needs of patients and their families.
  11. Train and supervise lower-level patient services coordinators.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to improve overall patient satisfaction and experience.
  14. Assist in resolving patient complaints and concerns.
  15. Attend meetings and trainings to stay informed about company updates and changes.
  16. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance patient experience.
  17. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of Novant Health services and locations.
  18. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  19. Follow guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  20. Display a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing Novant Health in a positive light.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient Services Or Customer Service Role.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Health Record Systems And Other Technology Used In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Processes, And Regulatory Requirements Related To Patient Services And Billing.
