  1. Greet and assist patients and their families in a courteous and compassionate manner
  2. Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  3. Schedule and coordinate appointments for patients
  4. Enter and maintain accurate patient data in electronic medical records
  5. Educate patients on financial responsibilities and collect payments for services rendered
  6. Respond to patient inquiries and resolve any registration issues or concerns
  7. Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate patient registration and scheduling
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  9. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and verify coverage
  10. Keep abreast of changes in healthcare policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  11. Assist with training and mentoring new Patient Access Specialists
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction
  14. Provide excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and colleagues
